Always a wonderful experience at this Mom and Pop restaurant. My jam is breakfast so this is what I always get. Always very quick service and delicious food. Great service & happy to write this review. Been a customer here for many years. You need to give it a shot.

Corporal Clint's Chicken and Dave's Skillet are two of my favorite menu items - satisfying and flavorful, and the staff is friendly and helpful to boot! ☕ Your coffee mug is never empty. 🤗 I cannot recommend this local business enough. My only regret is not knowing about this place until I moved to Brandon 4 years ago. 😂

It was my first visit here today and it was just okay. Ordered the mammas breakfast and the waitress never told me the pancakes were bigger than the plate. Asked for extra crispy bacon it wasnt for sure. Atmosphere was good and everyone was more than friendly. But First watch and Keke's i am sorry to say have this place beat. I might try it again but not anytime soon.

Exactly what you anticipate a dinner to be. Food was delicious, came out incredibly quick. Have the French toast breakfast, it's delicious.

I've eaten here 3 times so far and have yet to be disappointed. The Box Plate has been my favorite up to this point. Best time to go there seems to be after 12pm.

I now have a favorite local place to eat! Forget IHOP, forget Dennys, and all the other chains. Huge amounts of delicious food. How am I supposed to even eat that pancake after tons of bacon and eggs?!?!? Wonderful staff served us, our coffee cups were never empty. We will be back!!!

I always have great meals here! The portions are large and I need a to-go box EVERY TIME. The service is super quick. I seem to take a sip of tea and the meal is in front of me; HOT, FRESH & DELICIOUS. The quality is always good with reasonable prices!!!

I have been coming here for 15+ years and the food is always amazing and they are always able to get the food to you fast. I always recommend this place to eat.

The Recipe Box captures the very essence of the word Diner! It is our go to stop of breakfast all day and some times to get interested in the daily special at lunch time.For my regular followers, the floors are Not Sticky, Bathrooms CLEAN and the Service is great. There is not an empty coffee cup in the house.Great selection of menu items, something for everyone.If the daily special is Grouper Bites, don’t bother with the menu!!A+ all the way around!!

Really great local breakfast place. The service is really fast and the prices are really cheap but the food is still great quality. The hot chocolate that we had has a little sweet for my taste and for the price you only get one cup which is fine. Be warned that the pancakes are humongous!! My mom had the stuffed french toast and she said it was really good as well.

The staff was friendly...and this place was HOPPING. The food was excellent. I had the stuffed breakfast....I did the full...could have easily filled up on half. Everything was excellent. My boyfriend had Dave's Skillet and couldn't even finish...loved it. And he had one of the best bowls of French onion soup he's had in a long time. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Hard to find a decent diner in Riverview and this is also a bit away but worth the tripThe service is good, and out fav is that they offer 1/2 servings at 1/2 price which is perfect for those days when you are not super hungry. Food is also good, maybe not gourmet or fancy, but good ole home cooked meals.

Breakfast was amazing! Stuffed French toast was the way to go. Pancakes are huge and cooked just right. Our server was courteous and offered excellent suggestions. We will be back.

If I could give it 10 stars I would. The breakfast food was amazing. Everything was fresh or from scratch. Food like your grandma made. The service was fantastic. Great attitude. It is a little pricey but the portions are very generous. There was a wait but not to bad. I can see why this place stays busy. I'm going to come back for lunch next time. 👍👍👍

We had Dawn as a server. She was very pleasant and offered suggestions when my daughters wanted to be picky. The food was excellent my girls ordered chicken and waffles, and I a western omelet. The ranch dressing is homemade and tastes great.

Had a great breakfast this morning at the Recipe Box. Good food, great service and even though it was packed with a line out the door our food showed up within expectations.

First time being here after someone recommend it. The pancake was huge, and the food was tasty. There was a wait but they moved pretty fast. The service was great as well.

Because they have the best pancakes one pancake will be more than you can eat awesome

Went here for the first time and the breakfast was amazing i had chocolate chip pancakes. They are big so only get 1, if you get 2 you will have enough for 3 days, lol. Also had Quincy serve us, he was great. We will be back. Thanks

The food was good with lots of options and also an option for half portions on many of the items. We were never greeted/acknowledged on entry and waited to see where to sit. The two ladies at the front was too busy talking to each other. After ordering, food came quick and was good. At checkout from the lady at the register, not one word was said....no smile, not even a thank you.

So I Googled "diners near me" and I had never heard of The Recipebox and I was feeling adventurous. We only had a 15 minute wait and Rhonda was our server. She's was quick and efficient. I ordered the waffle and bananas on top with a side eggs and bacon. My babe ordered an omelette with turkey sausage and mushrooms and a side of hashbrowns. The service was quick. We got the bang for our buck! I will be visiting again

Great service, priced well. Good options. The portions are very good. I'm not sure how much is made from scratch, but it tastes like it is. The staff is very friendly. The only knock is the decaf coffee is not very good. Tried that on multiple occasions, and it just isn't good. But if you have to drink decaf like I do, you order it anyway.

The food was okay, service was acceptable. The portion sizes are ridiculous. Sure everyone wants to have plenty of food for their money but nobody wants to throw away more than they were able to eat. In my opinion they are very wasteful by giving you way more food than you could possibly eat. Maybe they should lessen their portion sizes and help feed the homeless.

Fantastic place for breakfast! The food is awesome and portions are huge!! The service is very fast and friendly. It gets busy so I recommend you come early to get seated quick. Our server today was James and he was awesome!! Will definitely come back and request James to be our server!! Highly recommend this place for a fantastic home cooked breakfast!

I always like to go to a place that will make you happy and just chilled the whole time you are there. This restaurant made me feel this way. The service is excellent, the servers were very welcoming and full of energy. I absolutely enjoyed my time here. It’s a small local business and I like to support local businesses rather than the chain restaurants. And it also gives you a unique feel when you walk into a local restaurant. It has its very own decor and that made me feel like I discovered a gem in Brandon. :).

Portions were good not quite what I expected but I would go back again

The best hashbrown ever! It's worth to wait for sure. The huge pancake was also tasty which not too fluffy and you'll taste a bit of salt. It's taste great with syrup. I'll come back and try something different soon!

AAA+, speedy service, super friendly staff even when busy, always fresh and fast food. Get your american breakfast fix here. No better place for it.

First time here and it was a delicious, over-sized treat to break shelter in place. The service was on point and the owners could be seen walking about and even lending themselves to a bit of table service. Highly recommended!! Will be back soon rather than later.

Breakfast is great. The food was very tasty and I don't even like breakfast that much. The pancakes are huge and the price is unbeatable. The restaurant is busy so there is long wait times but it is worth it. Inside is cozy and has an old time feel. The waiter we had was great. Really friendly and attentive. The reason for the 4 stars instead of five was the lady who sat us. She was rude which is sad because she's the first person you see. Except for that small bad experience I definitely suggest people to come and enjoy this small spot.

The food was great and service was awesome. This was our first time for my family and I. The French toast are really, and my kids liked the lunch menu. We will come back with family when they visit from up North.

This place never disappoints, portions are large and food taste great. The corporal chicken biscuit with gravy is awesome. Pancakes are Hugh. FYI on Saturday and Sunday get there before 9am or you'll be waiting in line and the wait line can get long.
